Tom MacGuinness, of Horseware fame, is tte first Irish rider to qualify for WEG 2018 to be held in the Tryon International Centre, North Carolina in th US between 10 and 23 Sept 2013.
Tom as also qualified for the European Championships to be held later this year.
The qualifing ride was a 3* 160km (100 mile) event held at Tordera, Spain, an hour notth of Barcelons where Tom rode his 9 year old chestnut gelding Sasha D'Allais.
Tom, along with another local rider, Helen McFarland, representd Ireland at the last WEG hosted in Normandy, France in 2014.
