St Valentines Day ride out a great success

The snow-capped mountains of Mourne were the picturesque back drop to ILDRA’s Ulster Branch St Valentine’s day ride out.  Love for horses was definitely in the air as 59 riders took off from the car park at Tollymore to follow the trails and paths through the forest and up the mountains. Greeted at the top by a fantastic vista of  the surrounding countryside on what turned out to be a fine fresh spring day with blue skies.

Our CTR riders were out also with the following members competing over the 2 lap  course.

The event was extremely well organised as usual by Neill and Tasha Anderson. Our vet for the day was David Nealham.  Our next ride out is on the 28th Feb at Gosford Forest Co Armagh. All those wishing to enjoy a day out with their horse, or who would like to become members are most welcome. For more details and guidelines  take a look at www.enduranceridingireland.com or look up ILDRA's Facebook page.
