Report & Results:
Meanwhile Castlewellen forest park was the starting point for the Mournes run which took place 12th June. It started out as a wet day and the mountains continued to have misty weather conditions throughout the day. This only added to the splendour of the forestry, and helped to keep the horses cool.
It was a great day for our Irish international rider Morgan Skillen who successfully completed her final Gold event of 80kms with her excellent pony Mayo. Well done Morgan, keep it going. Emma Hayes on Dukes Court also completed her first Bronze qualifier – congratulations Emma.
Results on the day include:
80kms (50 miles)

The annual Mournes ride is a great venue to ride over and through. The ride takes in Castlewellan Forest Park, Tollymore Forest Park and Donard Forest Park for the longer rides, with great views and lovely trails in the parks and along the linking routes taking in lanes, St. Patrick's Way and a little road work.
This ride is organised by the Ulster Branch Committee and CRT entries to be sent to Kirsten in advance.
