This is the venue for the Ulster Region's 1st Competitive Ride (CTR) and Pony Club Ride (PC) for 2020. Remember for CTR and PC rides you need to enter in advance ON-LINE or by post with payment - to enter by post use the link on the web page to download your entry form and send it to the ride organiser, details above.
CTRs up to 48km (30 miles).
This is also the first ride in the Ulster Region 2020 league open to competitive riders as well as pleasure riders. Details available from the ride organiser on the day.
Member and non-members welcome - Pleasure Riders can ride out between 10:00am and 1:00pm.
Remember ILDRA Memberships for 2020 should have been paid by now - if you have not rejoined (or want to join as a new member) please do so on line from the membership page.
Ireland are hosting the Home International and Celtic Challenge competitions this year so a great opportunity, without having to travel over the Irish, so start planning fr your team place now and introduce yourself and your horse to competitive rides now and gain eligibility to be considered fr a team place. Each team has juniors and novice riders as well as advanced riders to a great opportunity to represent your country on home soil.
Tollymore is always a popular ride with superb scenic views, some great hill work for building condition and fitness.
Tollymore Forest Park is a beautiful venue for long walks on foot and on horseback along the Shimna river over bridges up hills and all with lovely views out over the Irish Sea and over Newcastle and the Mourne Mountains. Great for a lovely Pleasure Ride.
Tollymore Forest Park was the first state forest park in Northern Ireland, established on 2 June 1955. It is located at Bryansford, near the town of Newcastle in the Mourne and Slieve Croob Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
