In advance of this years St. Patrick's Coast Ride ILDRA are organising a Beach Clean at Tyrella Beach.

Apart from helping the ride by removing litter etc. from the beach it is of course a very worth task. Beaches really do end up with so much rubbish being washed up now days.

"Removing harmful plastics, bits of lost fishing gear and polluting domestic rubbish from our beaches will help to ensure that seals and seabirds do not get entangled, fish and other marine animals do not swallow pieces of plastic and that we have beautiful clean beaches for our holidays."

The Great British Beach Clean kicks off across the UK between 16th and 25th Sept so lets get it off to a good early start and see what impact we can have on the local beach we ride on for our events.

Please come along -  also see the Facebook event and say you are going or just turn up on the day.

Please bring some good gardening type gloves as well to protect your hands.

It is planned that some of the team turning up may go and find a pub lunch after so why not join in that as well.
